Lovely Birds – Viva La México
On September 23rd and 24th there was a new fantastic exhibition at MINIMALISTIX and this time the Mexican artist JOSÉ EDUARDO QUEVEDO RUIZ aka SONCK presented his artworks. The event was called “Lovely Birds” with subtiteled “Viva La México”. So like the name says, many of the works were sketches, drawings and graphics of birds. On Sunday, September 24th, SONCK had planned a special action and painted live for everyone on the street, you could watch him performing and see how a colorful work develops. We documented the exhibition, but also the painting session with more than 100 photos and you can see beautifully in a picture story how the painting is created piece by piece. Coincidentally, ELTI, another Mexican artist and good friend, came by and was immediately included in the live painting session. So two artists, SONCK and ELTI, were painting that day in front of MINIMALISTIX.
